The "Third Force" presented its vision of the development of Tbilisi
The new political platform "Third Force-Agmashenebeli Strategy" presented its vision of the development of Tbilisi.
The main goal of the political platform is the transformation of the Georgian capital into a highly developed European city, where new jobs will be created, small and medium-sized businesses will develop.
The plan identifies six priority areas:
* Equally developed city – all districts are the face of Tbilisi;
* Tbilisi – the city of knowledge and technology;
* Tbilisi is a comfortable and safe city;
* Tbilisi – European Center of Tourism and Culture;
* Tbilisi – a global air transport hub;
* Everyone is complicit in the management of the city.
The leader of the "Third Force", Georgy Vashadze, believes that the presented plan is ambitious and non-standard.
"In a polarized political environment, there is little talk about who will do what. We talk a lot about the fact that we need to change the government, but it is not clear exactly who is planning to do what, who has what plan, whether they have concrete steps, projects to solve many problems that concern people, unfortunately, this is not visible. This is the main distinguishing feature of the "Third Force" and our team. We not only criticize, but offer a concrete way out," Vashadze said.
The Third Force was created on the platform of the Agmashenebeli Strategy party. The association also includes "Reformers", "Republican Party of Georgia" and "Free Democrats".
The Third Force presented Tamar Kekenadze for the post of mayor of Tbilisi, and Sergo Chikhladze was a candidate for the chairman of the City Council (sakrebulo).
To win, mayoral candidates must gain at least 50% of the votes, and majority deputies-at least 40%. Municipal elections in Georgia will be held on October 2.
