The "World Congress of Yezidis" has appealed to French President Emmanuel Macron, with a request to pay attention to the Yezidis, who have suffered from persecution for many centuries and have survived many genocides. Not only did ISIS commit an atrocity against the Yazidis in 2014, but the Kurdish government continues to morally torment the Yazidis.

The "World Congress of Yazidis" is an organization located in the city of Bielefeld, Germany and conducts its activities, which consists in helping the Yazidi people, for seven years they have been trying to bring the problems of the Yazidis to the UN-a.

You can read their appeal below:

Dear Mr. Macron.

Today an organization is addressing you, which for seven years has been trying to convey to the UN and the leaders of the leading world countries the voice of thousands, hundreds of thousands of Yazidis, those Yazidis who have been through many genocides for many centuries, the last officially recorded of which was committed in your and our memory and in front of the civilized world community quite recently (03.08.2014).The Yazidi people, being one of the oldest nations in the world, have always carried only good to the world society throughout their history, being at the origins of world civilization, but unfortunately, since the seventh century, after the appearance of many radical groups and states in the Middle East, they began to be subjected to persecution and genocides.

And, unfortunately, today in the 21st century, the situation of the Yazidi people can be called tragic. After the above-mentioned genocide in the Shangal province of Iraq in the eyes of the world community in the 21st century, a genocide was committed, we would say, deliberately organized by the leadership of the Kurdish autonomy, so it comes as a result of the fact that on 02.08.2014 the leadership of the Kurdish autonomy decides to withdraw its military formation "Peshmarga", which was allegedly deployed to protect the local Yazidi population, and on the night of 03.08.2014, there was an organized attack at the Shangal province by terrorists from the "Islamic State". At the same time, the majority of world leaders and heads of international organizations seemed to be watching medieval gladiators fighting.

The majority watched as the so-called terrorist organization "Islamic State" kills and takes children, the elderly and women into slavery. A vivid example of this is the village of Kocho in Shangal, where for 2 weeks the terrorists held the whole village captive (by the way, Nadia Murad was enslaved from there), many Yazidi and other humanitarian international organizations voiced the alarm, but unfortunately no international organization, neither the UN nor the advanced world states came to help in a timely manner, although this is the duty of the UN Security Council. Mr. Macron, even today the situation of the Yazidi refugees can be called tragic. Until now, about 150-200 thousand Yazidi refugees are living in tents unsuitable for life in different camps of the Kurdish autonomy of Iraq, and those Yazidis who have returned to the Shangal province are constantly subjected to moral violence by two Kurdish parties (PKK "Kurdish Workers 'Party", KDP "Democratic Party of Kurdistan"). As you know, the Shangal province has a place of strategic military strategic importance in the region, and is as rich as the Shehan province, which the leadership of the Kurdish autonomy occupied after the assassination of Saddam Hussein. The Shangal province is rich in many natural resources, this is certainly not the main reason for the pressure on the Yazidis. Various interests of various radical groups and states flock to Shangal. And the goal of the leaders of the Kurdish autonomy is to include the Shangal province into the future independent Kurdistan (For example: the 2017 referendum, where Yazidi refugees were forced to vote for the entry of the Shangal province into independent Kurdistan under pressure). In the Kurdish autonomy, the Yazidis, in addition to the lack of material living conditions, are also subjected to moral violence by the leadership of the autonomy, for not recognizing themselves as ethnic Kurds. We were convinced of this by our own example when we visited our representative in this camp in 2019, where Yazidi refugees told in private conversations what pressure was exerted on them on the eve of the referendum on the independence of Kurdistan in 2017. Many Yazidi activists are still in prison for disagreeing with the opinion of the Kurdish leaders of the autonomy, and this is a violation of the right of people and peoples to self-determination (UN General Assembly Convention: the right of Indigenous peoples to self-determination, Chapter 61/295, Articles 1-46). In our opinion, another reason for the 2014 genocide is that when the new constitution of Iraq was created, the rights of the Yazidis were not constitutionally prescribed like those of the other indigenous peoples of Iraq...

Mr. Macron, the US government recently decided to withdraw its troops from the territory of Iraq, which may lead to the activation of terrorist groups, the target of which may again be the unprotected Yazidi people, yes, the state of Iraq de jure exists, but de facto it does not have strong state levels of control. Unfortunately, the Yazidis again remain abandoned to their fate. If at least once the leaders of the leading world countries and the UN expressed a desire to look into the sad eyes of the children of the genocide, we think the Yazidi issue would have received a positive solution. Unfortunately, the subjunctive mood is inappropriate here. In our opinion, the only hope remains your personal fair position and the fair position of the French Republic on the issue of world politics.

We hope that on your initiative, the Yazidi issue will be raised before the UN Security Council for discussion! We thank you in advance!

Sincerely, the governing body of the" World Congress of Yazidis " Bielefeld, Germany.
