For the Yazidis of Georgia, spiritual unity with the Yazidis of Armenia is important, for which the state border should not be a hindrance. 3 June 2019, Director of the Cultural Center of the Yazidis of the Caucasus, Yuri My, visited Armenia on business and familiarization visit.  He met with the President of the national Union of Yazidis of Armenia Aziz Tamoyan, as well as a representative of the Association of Young Yazidis of Armenia said Avdalyan, the editor of the newspaper "Tidjan" - HDR Adayana.
The ways of development of Yazidi community were discussed at the meeting. A question was raised about the study of the native Yazidi language by young people. From the Diaspora we have learned that in Yazidi villages in the Aragatsotn Marz (Armenia) - in schools taught the native language, one of the teachers is Zoro Nasirian. In the villages facultative study the Yazidi language.Mr. Aziz Tamoyan also briefly told about the history and traditions of Yazidis of Armenia, presented books and magazines in Yazid language to our editorial staff. Calendars, posters of the book of the native language from 1 to 12 classes. HDR Agoan gave Newspapers. Saeed Avdolyan told about the ways of development of youth Association of Yazidis of Armenia.  The meeting was productive, the parties shared their experience in assistance and assistance to the Yazidi communities of Armenia and Georgia. As you know, the traditional culture of any people is best preserved in the villages. It is an axiom. The city, especially megopolis, is more subject to cosmopolitan influences. Accordingly, the link "city-village" is necessary to preserve the identity of any people.
The Yazidis of the South Caucasus have a unique situation: their "urban" and "rural" communities are partially separated by the Armenian-Georgian border.
Historically, in Georgia Yazidis live in large cities, mainly in the capital – Tbilisi. "Pure Yazid" sat in Georgia for almost no Yazidi rural population is insignificant.
Yazidi villages, on the contrary, are located in the Republic of Armenia. Yazidis live in Armenia and in Yerevan and other major cities – but still traditionally the main centers of preservation of Yazid culture are still villages.
During the Soviet years, when the border was "conditional" for the Yazidis of Georgia, especially the Yazidis of Tbilisi, it was the Yazidis villages in Armenia that were the "standard" for the preservation of traditional culture. They remain so and still. Up to the point that the parents of young Yazidis sought to pick up for their children a "couple" of Yazidis villages in Armenia considered (and quite justified!) what in the Yazidi villages of Armenia traditions, customs and values Ezel best preserved.
At the moment, more than 34 thousand Yazidis live in Armenia. Yazidi village in Armenia, Pump, Telek, Cougarman, Conducts, Kamuli, Gallo, Ako, Kuhta, Gargoris, Alagyaz and other – continue to be the mainstay of national culture and traditions. The "urban" Yazidi culture is also developing in Armenia. Largely due to the fact that the villages with their traditions alive is near, even having moved to Yerevan and other cities Yazidis separation from the national environment, national culture does not feel. In addition – at the state level, the Yazidis of Armenia have achieved a lot. The state has recognized the uniqueness of Yazidis as an ethnic group and Yazid culture, contributes to the preservation of the Yazid language and its teaching in schools, the preservation of Yazid identity.
