The foreign ministers of the six European countries plan to visit Tbilisi at the end of April to help resolve the protracted political crisis. This is reported by the TV channel "Mtavari" with reference to an unnamed source.

Presumably, the visits of the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Sweden, Poland, and France are being prepared.

The leader of the opposition party "Lelo for Georgia" Mamuka Khazaradze partially confirmed this information. According to him, it is already known for sure that Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis will arrive in Georgia soon.

"As far as I know, Landsbergis is coming. The schedule for the arrival of the others will be known [later]. Naturally, we will meet with them, " Khazaradze said.

According to Mtavari, the visits of the ministers will be preceded by a special statement by the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, on the situation in Georgia. The TV channel adds that the resumption of negotiations between members of the ruling Georgian Dream party and the opposition is already a settled issue, while it is still unclear who will mediate between the parties – the representative of Charles Michel, the diplomat Christian Danielson or someone else.

Meetings with ambassadors

At the office of the EU Delegation in Tbilisi, meetings were held with the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Archil Talakvadze, and later with representatives of the Lelo party. Both EU Ambassador Karl Hartzel and US Ambassador Kelly Degnan participated in the talks.

Talakvadze left the office without comment. Khazaradze's colleague, Badri Japaridze, said that their meeting with the ambassadors was normal, working and such negotiations are held from time to time.

Khazaradze told us more. He confirmed that together with the facilitators, they returned to the discussions of the framework document drawn up with the direct participation of Charles Michel during his visit to Tbilisi in early March.

"I can't talk about the details, but I want to confirm that there is a great interest in Georgia. There is an attempt to make a final reset of Georgia, and this reset does not mean the entry of the opposition into the parliament. The entry of the opposition into the parliament should lead to serious reforms that will affect the life of every citizen," Khazaradze said.
