Within the framework of the project "Strengthening the role of civil society in reconstruction" after the 2014 war in Nineveh province, the first coordination meeting "Economy and Investment in Nineveh Province" was held with the participation of a group of professors, economic experts, a group of young Yazidi activists and representatives of government departments, with the support of the National Foundation for Democracy and the National Development Association.

The organizer of the meeting opened the project by stating that the Tahrir Association is interested in and seeks to enhance the role of civil society and the Yazidi minority in the recovery from the stage of the treacherous 2014 ISIL attack. The participants discussed the problems and challenges that contribute to the sluggish economy in Nineveh, especially after the war against ISIL, which led to unemployment and the emergence of economic depression, during the spread and outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic. The priorities and needs of various sectors of the region's economy were discussed.

It is worth noting that the "Tahrir Development Association" is an independent non-profit non-governmental organization that was established in May 2003 in the city of Mosul.
