The leaders of the Georgian opposition are discussing an agreement that the special representative of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, will offer them to sign to overcome the political crisis.

The text of the agreement is to be presented on March 30 by Swedish diplomat Christian Danielson, who personally arrived in Tbilisi for the second time to become a mediator in the negotiations between the opposition and the government. It is known that the agreement should be drawn up in accordance with the six-point plan, which was drawn up personally by the President of the European Council.

The leader of the Girchi – More Freedom party, Zurab Japaridze, believes that the version of the agreement proposed by Danielson to overcome the political crisis "will not be subject to discussion."

The chairman of the" Republican Party of Georgia " Khatuna Samnidze says that he remains optimistic about the outcome of the negotiations and agrees that the agreement will require a compromise from both sides, which will not be easy. The leader of the Agmashenebeli Strategy party, Georgy Vashadze, believes that an agreement should be reached, since the West will not participate in mediation "indefinitely."

The leader of the European Georgia party, Giga Bokeria, emphasizes that the opposition has a "flexible, but at the same time principled position" on all the fundamental issues outlined by Charles Michel.

The leader of the Lelo party, Mamuka Khazaradze, believes that the submitted document will spell out the reforms that Georgia needs for European integration.

How did a man of such opportunities [like Ivanishvili] bring the country to such a state in nine years, and now the young people from his party are justifying themselves, saying that everything is fine… They divided people into categories, made their own office out of justice… They also missed this chance, although they could have raised and carried the flag in their hands. "The Georgian Dream is not able to carry out reforms concerning lari, the situation in the economy, the geopolitical function of the country," Khazaradze said.
