Anna Dolidze creates a new political party
The founder of the movement "For the People" Anna Dolidze creates a political party of the same name. Dolidze started collecting the signatures necessary for the registration of the political association.
She held a meeting with the population of the Saburtalo district of Tbilisi to talk about her plans.
"Like most of the Georgian population, we are concerned about the political impasse that has created in our country. We decided to create a political party that will serve the interests of the people. It will be called simply "For the People», - Dolidze said. In the parliamentary elections in the fall of 2020, Dolidze stood as a candidate in the majority district of Didube-Chugureti in Tbilisi. According to the official results of the elections, Dolidze took the third place - ahead of the candidate from the ruling party Georgy Volsky and the leader of the party "Girchi" Zurab Japaridze.
Anna Dolidze is a former member of the Supreme Council of Justice, ex-adviser to the fourth President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili. After the change of power in 2012, she was appointed Deputy Defense Minister Tinatin Khidasheli. At the beginning of her career, Dolidze also worked for the influential non-governmental organization "Association of Young Lawyers of Georgia".
