In addition to flights from Israel, Batumi Airport receives daily flights from Turkey.

Archuadze expressed hope that the number of airlines at the Batumi airport will increase.

"Since 2007, before the pandemic, the number of airlines at the Batumi airport has increased fivefold. We hope that the updated airport will attract even more airlines. This will allow more tourists to visit Adjara, " Archuadze said. Against the backdrop of the pandemic, she said, it is even more important that TAV Georgia increased the investment needed to expand Batumi International Airport from $ 14 million to $ 17 million and made a significant contribution to the country's economic development.

As part of the project, the building of the existing passenger terminal was expanded for both arrivals and departures. Partially expanded baggage handling area, check-in counters, border guards ' booths, Duty Free zone, business lounge and airport parking. The airport has added catering facilities that meet international standards, and two bus stops in the departure area.
