Police rescue seven-year-old Asian girl from ISIS captivity

A seven - year-old Yazidi girl was rescued from the captivity of a suspected militant of the IS terrorist group and handed over to employees of the local Department of Family Affairs and Social Services.

The suspect, an Iraqi national, was reportedly active in the Mosul terror attacks and has been tracked by law enforcement.

"It was established that a person identified as S. O. abducted a seven - year-old Yazidi girl, after which the prosecutor's office decided to launch an investigation. The suspect was reportedly a former Iraqi army officer and was acting with an accomplice identified as N. H. R., " an official statement on the police operation said.
