The Deputy Minister of Immigration and Displacement of Iraq confirmed that the ministry has an action plan aimed at curbing the exploitation of displaced persons in the camps for political purposes, expressing concern that this will be used in the elections.

"The Ministry seeks to overcome all obstacles to the voluntary return of displaced Yazidis from the camps in accordance with the state program implemented by the Ministry for the return of displaced persons and their rehabilitation in the communities. Close the camps, and voluntarily return the Yazidi refugees to their areas, " Karim al-Nuri said in a statement.

Iraq's Deputy Minister for Immigration and Displacement also confirmed: "The Ministry has managed to close most of the camps in other provinces of the country."

As for the camps for displaced persons in Kurdistan, there are 26 camps in the Al-Nuri area, which are mostly under the control of the Kurdistan region. In the regions under the control of Kurdistan, some officials are obstructing the return of displaced Yazidis to their areas, especially the Interior Minister of the region, and these obstacles arise under illogical and unfounded pretexts. Therefore, their voluntary return from the camps is delayed. There are fears that the suffering of the displaced Yazidis will be used for electoral purposes.
