Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili called on all political forces to engage in a dialogue about the future of the country. He stated this in an address distributed by the government's press service.

"Today, when the law has been implemented and the state has been on top, I want to call on all the political forces that value our country to open a real dialogue. Let's not talk about what divides us, but about what unites us. Together, we will take care of strengthening our statehood and independence, the democratic system, overcoming economic and social problems, and integrating Georgia into the European Union and NATO. Our homeland has no time to lose. Today is not the time of division, today is the time of unification," Garibashvili said.

Oppasition:If the topic of political prisoners is not closed, then there can be no question of the results of the negotiations, the representative of the opposition said.

"After the arrest of Niki Melia, the Georgian Dream reduced the space for negotiations, so our position is clear: we have never refused to negotiate, but in order for the negotiations to continue, we must see concrete steps on the part of the authorities that relate to the topic of political prisoners. If the topic of political prisoners is not closed, then there can be no question of the results of the negotiations," Samadashvili said.

At the same time, she named two main demands of the opposition.

"Our position remains unchanged – the release of political prisoners, including Niki Melia and George Rurua, and early parliamentary elections in order to restore the democratic process in the country. We discussed how the West can exert additional pressure to find a way out of the situation," Samadashvili said.
