Within the framework of the Nadia Initiative project, Al-Salam primary schools have been restored and reconstructed, electricity has been restored, a playground has been built, and looted rooms have been turned into fully equipped classrooms. The school will serve more than 380 students of Tel Kasab village.

Another school is being rebuilt in Sinjar. As of January 2021, 10 of the renovated NI (Nadias Initiative) schools in Sinjar are equipped with all the necessary equipment and have reopened. The destroyed school buildings were inactive for seven years. Now that the COVID safety policy is in place, schools will once again become places of learning for children.

This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Austrian Agency for Cooperation for the Development of the Yazidi Regions.
