Moscow hosted the International Abstractum Festival-the Festival of Abstraction.

This exhibition-competition is a large-scale forum that unites not only artists from Russia and the CIS countries, but also from far abroad countries, and its jury consists of international experts.

Professional and amateur artists could present their works in the style of abstract painting.

The work of the young Yezidi artist Norik Musoyan was represented by 4 works: "The Yazidi Sage" (1st place), "The Soul of the Yazid" (2nd place)," The Forester "(3rd place)," The Element of Water " (3rd place). In the paintings, the artist reflected the images of an elderly man of Yazidi nationality, as well as nature.

Norik Musoyan believes that his works can be attributed to neo-expressionism, as they contain imagery, figurativeness, lively and emotional manner, bright, rich colors. Norik also said that in two of his paintings he reflected the soul of a Yazidi man, with his experiences. This is clearly seen in the picture "The Yazidi Sage" (which took the first place), namely in the tired eyes of the sage, who seem to be looking for justice in the modern world.

In his paintings, the artist sought to show the inner world of the Yazidi person through his image, for example in the painting "The Soul of the Yazidi".

In his work, Norik Musoyan strives to show the beauty of the Yazidi nation to other peoples.

At the International Festival — Competition "Abstractum-Festival of Abstraction", paintings with a Yazidi theme took 1st and 2nd places.

As the Yazidi artist said, he is very pleased that people have highly appreciated his work, and as a representative of the Yazidi nation, he dedicates this victory to his people.
