Since its inception, international law has gradually undergone changes in the direction of its progressive development. It is no secret that one of the main points of the MP (international law) is to ensure the security of national minorities around the world.

If we look at different events in different regions of the world, it shows that the violation of the rights of national minorities and disregard for them can lead to tragic consequences. In the recent history of the Yazidis, this date is 2014, namely the genocide of the Yazidis in Iraq. Such "events" make the international community think about the need for a reliable mechanism for the protection of national minorities. One of the goals of the MP is to prevent citizens from becoming "strangers" in their state. Yazidis often face this phenomenon of being a "stranger" in their state, most often this is due to the passive activity of Yazidis who are willing to get "dry bread" for the sake of their passivity. But how to cure us of the Yezidis from this passivity? This question remains open and international law can help us Yazidis in this.

In turn, international law not only recognizes the existence of various national, ethnic and linguistic minorities, but also takes active actions aimed at ensuring non-discrimination and protection of these groups, preserving their identity. The objectives of the development of international norms in the field of regulation of the rights of national minorities are to ensure adequate living conditions for minorities in each country, to improve the democratic institutions of the State and society, to expand human rights.
