Dear Brothers and sisters,

As you know, His Eminence Baba Sheikh (Khurto Hajji Ismail), the head of the Yazidi Spiritual Council, passed away two months ago, and according to the religious norms of the Yezidis, a new Baba Sheikh must be named within a short period, through a mechanism known and clear to the Yezidis and those concerned with the Yazidis' affairs! But what is regrettable is that a new Baba Sheikh was named, outside the desire and will of the Yazidis and religious norms, in an illegal closed meeting in which the participation of Yazidis was not permitted. It included only the requested candidate and several Yezidis affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), and far from all norms, the new Baba Sheikh was named outside the will and desire of the Yazidis inside and outside the homeland, they did not even know or familiar with the mechanism of election and the mechanism for determining Baba Sheikh, and this is not acceptable to the Yazidis.

Hazim Tahseen Beg, and without the desire of the Yazidis, was imposed as the Emir with the plans of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and it is well known to everyone that he is an incapable and failed figure to manage the position of Emir of the Yezidis, so how can he have the right to name him head of the Yazidi Spiritual Council, without the respect and desire of most Yezidis!

At a time when we affirm our rejection to this illegal and doubtful operation, we are assured that this decision is not the desire and will of the Yazidis, and that the Yazidis will not allow the Kurdistan Democratic Party or any other party to determine their religious and political fate and become victims of political monopoly and our future and control of our destinies will be given to fate, so they would sell us out during adversity and tragedy and abandon us.
Dear brothers and sisters  We were expecting a new position from the leadership of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, regarding the interference and the lack of respect for the Yazidis, the  discrimination and involvement of the Yazidi house in the conflicts and with plans from the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the innocent people of Shangal are being sold, and instead of apologizing and bearing the responsibility entrusted to them, the official spokesman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party gives clarification with coordinated words, justifying this inappropriate act, so we find it is necessary to publish this response.
We were expecting from the Kurdistan Democratic Party to have a positive role and a humanitarian stance towards the plight of Shangal and the plights of the Yazidis, but unfortunately they are continuing to exploit the Yezidi religion and their just and legitimate cause for their narrow partisan projects, which are carried out according to a plan and program prepared in advance, as we have indicated, the KDP and its intelligence institution and since the departure of the late Emir Tahseen and the late Baba Sheikh, head of the Yazidi Spiritual Council, have directly interfered in the Yazidi religion affairs and all its religious norms and traditions and  ignored them far from all values, the instructions of the Yezidi personalities and clerics. They even occupied the positions of the Emir and the Baba Sheikh for their own and rotten interests and contrary to the suggestions of the official spokesman of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, because respecting the rights and freedoms of the Yazidis in this way violates all values and foundations and spread discrimination and discord inside their home in order to erase our original religious identity.

It seems that the official spokesperson of the Kurdistan Democratic Party is not aware of these secret intelligence plans and projects, and that is why he publishes their explanation in this regard. It is well known to the people of the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and all the Yezidis that the Kurdistan Democratic Party, after the operation to liberate Iraq in 2003, began a policy of "threat and enticement" towards innocent Yezidis, especially after the handover of the Yazidis in Shangal in August 3, 2014 and we stress that their interference in the Yazidi social and religious affairs and dealing with them with a policy of intimidation and starvation is part of their narrow and non-national party project.

It is surprising to us that most of their advisers and the executors of their plans are officials of the Abu Firas al-Hamdani detachments (intelligence detachments of the former Baath regime). They implement their aims and plans to distort our social peculiarities and our religious sanctities.

Steadfast brothers and sisters in Shangal Mountain Innocent people in the Kurdistan Region camp. The simple and innocent people, the people of Sheikh's Walat Yazidi resistance fighters in western and southern Kurdistan, Resistance in Georgia, Armenia and the countries of the former Soviet Union Yazidi diaspora in Europe, America, Canada and Australia.

Our religious identity, our dignity, our homeland, our temples, our public rights have become clearly and directly under the danger of annihilation, monopoly and exploitation, and in return for all this treachery, insolence, injustice and lack of respect towards us, the silence of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, the Presidency of the region, Kurdistan Parliament, the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Kurdish parties and civil society organizations are the subject of our question and our resentment.

Therefore, it is time for uniting and alignment, and it is a religious, humanitarian and historical responsibility. Only by uniting our efforts will we be able to confront the difficulties and challenges of this stage, defend our legitimate rights, build the restoration of harmony and peace, and deepen the spirit of coexistence between all the original components in our country and in legitimate civilized ways, we will make all our efforts to defend our identity and our just cause.
