Georgian dream, which won the parliamentary elections for the third time, will get 91 seats in the legislature, which consists of only 150 deputies. According to proportional rules, the Georgian dream will hold 61 deputies in the Parliament, and 30-under the majority system.

Georgian dream's majority candidates in 13 single-member districts won the first round of elections on October 31, and they won the remaining 17 districts in the second round on November 21, amid a General boycott by the opposition.

With the received mandates, the Georgian dream will be able to form a government on its own. Giorgi Gakharia, the current Prime Minister and number one on the Georgian dream list, is expected to lead the new government.

In addition to the Georgian dream, eight opposition parties managed to overcome the 1% barrier in the October 31 elections, but they expressed no confidence in the election results and do not plan to enter the new Parliament. According to them, the ruling team "stole" the election. They demand new elections, the resignation of CEC Chairman Tamar Zhvania and the release of all "political prisoners".

To defuse the political crisis that has arisen in the country, a dialogue between the ruling team and the opposition began with the mediation of the us and EU ambassadors to Georgia, Kelly Degnan and Karl Harzel. Despite two rounds of negotiations, the parties have not yet reached an agreement. Another round of negotiations is planned.
