This open letter is addressed on behalf of the Yazidi Diaspora, given the gravity of the situation that occurred two days ago, it is about choosing a Sheikh without full consultation with all Yazidi parties and their nobles, and without the participation of Yazidis from Sinjar, Bashiqa, Bahzani and other Yazidi districts. The email States:

"The world of Yazidis or any other representative of the clergy has no right to ignore the opinion of the Yazidi community. Therefore, the Yazidi people appeal to Mr. Hazem Tahsin-Bag to postpone the inauguration ceremony and open the door for dialogue and reconciliation with all Yazidis from different regions. We would like to remind all readers that this is a great moral and historical responsibility. Anyone who encourages the division of the Yazidis is committing a crime against our entire people. We also see that there is an urgent need to speed up the formation of the Supreme Yazidi Council for the Yazidi community to get out of the current critical situation. We are confident that all parties will be held accountable and will not expose the children of Ezidikhan to division and dispersion. We also call on all Yazidi activists and figures to sign this statement."
