National security adviser Qasem al-Araji visited the Shangal region to review the situation in the area in the presence of the Deputy commander of joint operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir al-Shammari.
Al-Araji attended a conference in the Shangal district, which was held in the Sununi district of the Shangal district called (We are all for Iraq). Al-Araji conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa al-Kazemi, to the people of Sinjar.
He stressed that "Sinjar is Iraq, and that the first priority is to return all displaced persons, both Yazidis and Arabs and Kurds, to their areas of residence in safety, "noting that" revenge is not the solution to problems."
He pointed out that "Control over issues in the judicial system is in the hands of the Federal government, and the local police will take over the case for the security of the judicial system," noting that "There are hands that seek to sow discord and fear among people and get in the way."
He added: "Rebuilding the area requires international efforts, and everyone must restore life in Sinjar and strengthen public reconciliation and civil peace."
