The series of attacks on Yazidis in the Middle East regions has not stopped, especially in the region (East-West Iraq and East-West Syria), where the worst forms of human rights violations have been formed with abduction, displacement, captivity and sale. In addition to crimes committed by terrorist groups, they also demolish temples and force the Yazidi minority to convert to the Islamic religion, as terrorist groups have been committing violations against the rights of Yazidis in Afrin and RAS al-Ayn for more than two years. All these actions lead to demographic changes.

This was said by a 35-year-old Syrian citizen when he was captured by terrorists in the city of Khor Kilis and released on a prisoner exchange.

On may 29, SOHR published an appeal sent by 20 Syrian human rights organizations to the UN, the high Commissioner for human rights and the Special Committee of inquiry in Syria, in which it called for international intervention to prevent violations of human rights and freedoms in Afrin.

The signatories demanded "the formation of a Committee to investigate and establish the facts, especially regarding violations committed in Afrin and other areas under the control of the countries responsible for security in the area. To document this and pass it on to the competent international authorities." Put an end to these crimes and punish those responsible for their war crimes against humanity.

The local population demands that the security Council place these regions under international protection until a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian problem is found.
