Yazda provided training to 42 beneficiaries who have been selected for small businesses in Sinjar

As a part of Livelihood and agricultural project Funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with support of its partner Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), Yazda initiated training to 42 beneficiaries (Males& Females) who have been selected based on the vulnerability criteria to run agriculture and non-agriculture small businesses.

The training sessions provided online for 3 days about preparing for the business plan and beneficiaries were divided into small groups to commit to the instructions issued by the Iraqi Ministry of health to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The training was provided by specialists and focused on managing a small business, accounting, and marketing in addition to how developing their business plans and these opportunities aim to promote the scale of socioeconomic status in Sinjar and strengthen the capabilities of those people who were directly affected by the 2014 genocide campaign.

As a continuation of this project, Yazda has opened 32 small businesses so far, and the rest of the businesses are in the process of setting up.
