More than 400 Yezidi families without medical assistance in the villages of Telazir region

In the wake of the ongoing crisis in coronavirus and after three years of liberation, there are renewed calls for medical care for more than 400 Yezidi families who have returned to villages in Telazir district in Baj district in the southern province of Nineveh.

Three years ago, Yazidi families returned to their homes in villages and districts in Telazir district, and they face great challenges due to the lack of health and service departments.

Residents of Al-Wardiya village called for the rehabilitation and equipping of a medical center in the village, which was built before 2014 by the Kurdistan Regional Government and was not completed due to the invasion of the Islamic State in Nineveh province and Shangal region, Sub-districts and Yezidi complexes on Mount Shangal.

In this context, a nurse, Nasir Rasho, one of the villagers, said: “Until 2014, a medical center was built in the village of Al-Wardiya and because of the ISIS invasion. construction and completion of its equipment were not completed. Some residents of Al-Wardiya and other villages in Telazir district have returned to their homes since 2017 and do not have medical and medical services. Also in recent weeks, several families have returned to the village and other villages, and so far there is no medical care in the village, even in the surrounding area, at a time when they urgently need medical services and kindness.

"The Access Aid Foundation" is an AAF organization, according to an official letter asking for our consent to begin filling and fully equipping the center and awaiting its funding for the project, and in the near future the villagers will be able to receive direct medical care." - He added.
