He reportedly returned from the Kadiya IDP camp in the Zahu district of Kurdistan on July 2, 2020 to the Shangal district.

He noted that “as soon as I confirmed that the remains were in the house, I called the county police station and informed them of what I saw.”

“According to the Baaj court order, the Talazir police station took the remains and sent them to the forensic service in Nineveh province and then to the capital Baghdad,” he added.

According to the Abducted Rescue Service, the number of mass graves in the Shangal district and Talazir suburb and its complexes reached 81 mass graves left by ISIS in early August 2014 during the Yezidi genocide.
