In Northern Iraq, a Yazidi family has been living in a battered tent for six years. This tent vibrates with every wind, and in summer it is hot and stuffy. The family lives without any illusions that anyone will help them ensure their relocation to the land of hope, which is now known as the land of the "genocide" of Shangal, Sinjar, and Dalin of Nineveh.

Do you think this tent is the only one? You need to look around and see how thousands of people live in such UN-human conditions. In each of these tents, children are born and suffer and become orphans. But, there is a downside, under the roof of these tents are also students who have received higher education and may get high positions. Others have learned to draw, sing and sculpt, sew and read books, and have also learned to volunteer to help those in need, and there are others who have got decent jobs and thus become a source of livelihood for their families.

As the sixth anniversary of the genocide approaches, many Yazidi families are preparing to turn the page on displacement and go to the "land of hope", feeling despair at the miserable life in the camps, despite their adaptation to conditions that have existed for more than half a century. Those who prepared the plan that the Yazidis would leave Sinjar (Shangal) are disappointed, the plan did not come to fruition. The return of the Yazidi minority was a deafening surprise for them, because the Yazidis did not leave their native places. And they began to return to their cities, villages, and homes. Yazidis, like their ancestors, like mountain wolves, return to their places of residence.

Along the roads linking Sinjar and the cities of Dohuk and Nineveh, you can see thousands of Yazidis gathering in the direction of the" land of hope", Yazidis hoping that the political forces in their country will break out of the shell of their interests and go to meet the Yazidi minority. After the humiliation in the camps, mass murder, life in captivity, destruction of infrastructure in cities and villages, and forced displacement of hundreds of thousands of Yazidis.

Someone says: "It seems that politicians in our country are devoid of humanity. We have lost hope that they will do anything, and our despair at repeated demands is like asking birds for milk. But we still have the will, and this will be the way to restore life in our cities and villages.

The look of optimism in his own eye requires reassurance, but caution is a duty. It is imperative to return home, but we must work to prevent a repeat of the scenario before the genocide is committed. Often sheep try to protect themselves from wolves, but in the end they become easy prey and food. The desire to satisfy the shepherd's hunger, which is something we don't want. Too much trust in either side would lead us to mazes and other misdeeds.

Personally, I hope that life will return to the "land of hope" and that what was destroyed will be built."
