Political consultant, former adviser to the former head of the Armenian police Vladimir Gasparyan, the founder of the movement "VETO" Narek Malyan, caused a stir after the change of government in 2018 next to anti-government actions, political provocations, and the activities against "Soros" and "perverts", declared the intention to appeal to the homeland security demanding to start criminal proceedings against human rights activist, head of the Yezidi centre for human rights, the Yazidi ethnic Sashik  Sultanyan. In one of his interviews, the human rights defender spoke about insufficient protection of the rights of Yazidis, discrimination, expropriation, nationalism and neglect of national minorities. The representative of the titular nation Malyan considered the statement about the problems of national minorities as "inciting hatred" between Armenians and Yazidis, expressing readiness to apply to the national security Council.

Sashik Sultanyan commented on Malyan's statements on Facebook:

— Two days ago, a user named Narek Malyan wrote posts stating that I, as the head of the Yazidi center for human rights, receive funding from the" Soros office and incite national hatred between Yazidis and Armenians". This opinion is also broadcast on several TV channels.

This user cooperates with several Yazidis who are adherents of regressive views, who have been at the center of several corruption scandals and are the heroes of the investigations that we are currently working on.

The following circumstance is given as a justification:

1. I give an interview and say that the Yazidis in Armenia have problems.

Yes, Yazidis in Armenia have problems. The protection of the rights of national minorities is an ongoing process, and if we do not talk about the problems, we will not be able to solve them.

The goal of the Yazidi center for human rights is to create a more democratic, inclusive Armenia by making statements about problems.

2. We have received funding from "open society Foundations — Armenia". Like all public organizations, we receive funding for the implementation of our statutory goals in the form of membership fees, donations and grants. We also receive financial assistance from Equal Rights Trust, European endowment for democracy, Prague Civil Society Center and other organizations that share our ideas and help us protect the rights of national minorities. With the assistance of the open society foundations — Armenia, we have created a youth club in one of the regions to preserve the Yazidi identity and familiarize young people with their rights, for which we are grateful to our colleagues.

P. S. 1. Malyan said that he would apply to the NSC to start criminal proceedings against me on the grounds of " inciting national and religious hatred". I look forward to.

P. s. 2. Regressive corrupt officials Working with Malian do Him a disservice by providing low-quality transfers  . Find normal interpreters, professionalism is always important, especially when we are talking about the criminal case…
