Italy removes restrictions on entry to the country for Georgian citizens, according to information on the website of the Italian Ministry of health.

According to the decision of the Italian Ministry of health, restrictions imposed due to the spread of coronavirus will be relaxed for 14 non-EU States – Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay.

Italy leaves in force such precautions as self-isolation and monitoring the health of people who come from outside the Schengen area.

Earlier, the border of Georgia was opened by Switzerland, Germany, Latvia, France, Spain, and the Netherlands.

The European Union has included Georgia in the list of 15 safe non-EU countries for which it opens borders on July 1.

At the same time, Austria will lift restrictions on entry to the country for citizens of non - EU countries, including Georgia, only from September 30. This is reported by the Embassy of Georgia in Vienna.

Georgia, in turn, opened the sky to specific airlines from July 1, despite the decision to postpone the resumption of regular flights until August 1. The government of Georgia stated that the main concern of the country is the health of citizens and this was the reason for the decision to extend the ban on regular flights.
