The world Bank will provide Georgia with additional assistance in the amount of 45 million euros to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the country's economy. According to the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

"In this difficult period, as a strong partner, we support Georgia and approve the rapid and effective anti-crisis measures of the government of Georgia aimed at saving people's lives and livelihoods, mitigating the economic consequences of the COVID — 19 pandemic and maintaining strong trends of economic reforms," said Sebastian Molineus, regional Director of the world Bank in the South Caucasus.

Earlier, in March this year, the world Bank approved aid for Georgia in the amount of 45 million euros, which was also aimed at promoting the implementation of reforms, creating new jobs, economic growth and maintaining economic stability.

According to Georgian Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani, the support of the world Bank is extremely important, as it is aimed at solving specific problems caused by the pandemic.
