The ambassadors of the EU member States agreed on a list of 14 countries whose citizens will be able to enter the EU from July 1, including Georgia. The final list should be officially approved today, "writes the French publication "Le Monde".

The list does not include countries such as the United States, Russia, Israel, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, where the Covid-19 pandemic is in an acute phase.

In addition to Georgia, the list of "open countries" for the EU from July 1 will include Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Montenegro, Serbia, Thailand, Uruguay, Rwanda, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.

It should be noted that the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission is not mandatory for EU member States, but simplifies bilateral agreements between States.
