Armenia and Russia agreed with Georgia on the transit of goods

At the political level, the agreement has already been reached and efforts should be made to implement it, the Armenian Prime Minister said.

Russia and Georgia have agreed to provide a "green corridor" for cargo transportation of the Eurasian economic Union, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with exporters.

He noted that an agreement has already been reached at the political level and efforts should be made to implement it. According to him, decisions are being made in Russia regarding various restrictions that may lead to panic in Armenia.therefore, it is important to inform that the restrictions will not apply to the EEU or Armenia.

The Prime Minister stressed that the agreements are concrete and final, and Russian colleagues are interested in supplying Armenian products to the Russian food market. At the same time, he receives import statistics on a daily basis and personally made sure that the country has sufficient amounts of food.

"We need to understand how we coordinate problems related to imports and exports, so that the agreements reached with our Russian and Georgian colleagues will be implemented naturally," the Prime Minister said.

From March 21 to April 21, 2020, a state of emergency has been declared throughout Georgia. The country has introduced temporary restrictions on the entry of foreign citizens.
